It’s 1am so I’m sorry for the people who won’t see this. But if you want confidence and don’t know how to get it, a really good way is to be confident in other people. When you walk into Starbucks, think, “damn, that barista’s hair is da bomb!” Or when you go to school, think, “my teacher is rocking that skirt!” When you start seeing everyone as being beautiful, at some point you realize that you’re everyone too.

People are not entitled to an opinion that opresses others.

Today my mother and I went necessities shopping at Walgreens. The beauty care specialist, a most wonderful and exuberant man, helped us get the prices down with secret coupons he had. He even gave me two free kits to use after bleaching my hair.  When we left, my mom said his nail polish was “freaky.”  I told her he’s just being exactly how he wants to be, and didn’t press the matter further.  I wish I had.
